Yo, we are playing a few gigs in December. Here's the poster for it. I just took a few photos of some of my instruments in my room in a half assed manner but quite happy with how it turned out. That's my stubby fingers on a melodica.


















The Dublin show is an Out On A Limb Christmas bash, where there will be free CDs handed out to the first 25 people in the door. Each CD will have a different cover done by a member of an OOAL band. We're recording a new cover for this which will be done very soon.

Also, if anyone's interested, the guy doing the artwork for the new H4H record is named Mark Warren Jacques, which I'm really excited about. His work is really amazing and the drafts he's sent us so far look so good. Here's a little video on him which is a decent watch:



At the moment I'm still recording new Letter From Belgium songs for a new release which will hopefully be up for download soon. This time round I'm paying much more attention to the actual recording process, as opposed to the completely haphazard manner in which I recorded LFB001. Mastering is a whole new thing I'm exploring at the moment too. Consequently it's taking a lot longer to finish than expected, but it's all really rewarding.

There are six tracks on this, 3 of which were previously up for download and 3 that weren't. This is the product of about 4/5 months and approximately 6,000 cups of tea. I decided to make these six tracks the first release because I felt that they worked well together - adding more tracks to make an album would have taken away from it I think.

"You're Safe Now" was based on a synth line I had from a few months ago. I kept coming back to this but couldn't really figure out how to finish it until now. It was pretty difficult to mix as there are so many synths, but I eventually settled on what's here.

"5:00" was recorded and mixed in an hour or so. It's a small song.
